Joanne Julkowski of Illinois is suing Harrah’s, Donny Osmond, and Donny Osmond Concerts Inc. following an incident during a February 15, 2024 performance where she was struck in the head by a lighted ball thrown into the audience. The lawsuit, filed in Clark County District Court, alleges negligence and negligent hiring, training, retention, and supervision. Julkowski claims the impact caused a retinal detachment in her right eye, requiring surgery and resulting in visual impairment, as well as head and neck injuries. She is seeking damages exceeding $15,000 for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, and other related costs. Caesars Entertainment, Harrah’s owners, has not yet commented on the lawsuit.
