Off-Strip casino enters final phase of $35M expansion
Summary
Ellis Island casino is in the final phase of a $35 million expansion and renovation project. The project includes a facelift for the Karaoke Bar, with karaoke temporarily moved to The Front Yard stage, as well as updates to the BBQ and Village Pub and Cafe restaurants. The expansion, which began in 2019 with the opening of The Front Yard beer garden, has already seen the unveiling of a new gaming space, a rooftop bar called The Deck, and a revamped original casino floor. Christina Ellis-Stalker, vice president of development, emphasized the casino’s commitment to providing value to both locals and tourists despite being a smaller competitor. The Karaoke Lounge is expected to reopen in May or June, with the entire project slated for completion later this year.
