Macau’s Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai has granted permission for Galaxy, Melco, and SJM to operate on-site currency exchange services at their casinos. The authorization, published in the Official Gazette, allows the operators to run foreign exchange counters at multiple properties, effective February 24th. Specifically, Galaxy Casino can operate at StarWorld, Galaxy Macau, and Casino Broadway; Melco Resorts at Altira, City of Dreams, Studio City, and several Mocha locations; and SJM Resorts at Casino Lisboa, Grand Lisboa, Grand Lisboa Palace, Oceanus, and L’Arc Macau. The orders emphasize that operators assume full financial responsibility and conduct exchanges “at their own risk.”
