Ex-blackjack dealer charged with cheating scheme at Biloxi casino, records say
Summary
Huynh Chi Kang Nguyen, 27, of Biloxi, was indicted on one count of cheating at gambling after allegedly exposing cards to patrons and failing to collect losing bets at Boomtown Casino Biloxi on July 16, 2025. The Mississippi Gaming Commission investigated the case, and Harrison County Assistant District Attorney Meaghan Smith is prosecuting. Nguyen waived his arraignment and pleaded not guilty. He is currently out on a $25,000 bond and is being screened for pre-trial diversion, which could prevent a felony conviction if he successfully completes the program. The offense carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.
