Casino Del Sol announced that its newest casino, Vahi Taa'am, located at Grant Road and Interstate 10 in Tucson, will open to the public on Nov. 15. The 73,000-square-foot facility, which reached a major construction milestone in June 2025, will feature dining options and a multi-level parking garage. Interim CEO Amanda Lomayesva stated that the project will create 1,000 jobs and serve as a transformative investment for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and the broader Tucson community. The development was facilitated by the late Congressman Raul Grijalva's "Old Pascua Community Land Acquisition Act," signed into law in 2022, which allowed the Department of the Interior to take tribally owned lands into trust, enabling gaming operations. Despite some community concerns regarding traffic, the casino is expected to be finished by November 2026.
