Two unidentified gunmen fired approximately four rounds at Nayak as he was leaving his office. His private security guard jumped in front of him to shield him and fired two rounds at the assailants, forcing them to flee. No one was injured in the incident. The police have registered an FIR and launched a manhunt to identify and trace the attackers. CCTV footage shows the suspects, one wearing a white shirt and black trousers and another wearing a cap, white shirt and greyish trousers, moving through the casino premises.
