Police in Pithampur, acting on a tip-off, raided an open area near Saraswati School in the industrial area's Jainagar Colony around 3:30 am on Sunday. Led by head constable Abhishek Yadav, the operation resulted in the arrest of five individuals: Bharat Rajput, Sunil Thapa, Jitendra Patel, Jitendra Rao, and Bhagirath Chohan. Officers seized Rs 12,500 in cash and a deck of playing cards. All five were charged under the Gambling Act and subsequently released on bail after providing personal bonds.
