Tulalip Resort Casino Wraps 70,250-Square-Foot Expansion, Tops 2,600 Slots
Summary
Tulalip Resort Casino has completed a three-year expansion that grew its gaming floor to 270,250 square feet and added more than 400 slot machines, pushing the property past 2,600 machines. The project, on the Tulalip Tribes' reservation in Washington, also introduced a new North Bar, a refreshed Center Bar, a renovated high-limit slots room and restaurant upgrades. Announced in November 2023 and begun in January 2024, the expanded floor opened to the public on July 3, 2025. The Center Bar, standing 38 feet tall with a seven-ton dome, anchors the renovated floor, while the 70,250-square-foot addition added new north and east entrances. Design themes highlight Tulalip Tribes' culture, the Salish Sea, coastal shorelines and forest environments. Swinerton Construction was the building contractor and Rice Fergus Miller handled architecture. Cost figures vary, with one report citing $60 million and another saying the cost was not released. The resort includes a 370-room hotel, 30,000 square feet of meeting space and a 3,000-seat outdoor amphitheatre.
