The Delhi Police arrested 13 people in Shahdara district for running an illegal gambling racket. Acting on a tip, a special staff team raided the location at 3:20 a.m. on October 10 and seized Rs 2,01,000 in cash, 416 playing cards, and 2,100 poker tokens and chips, each valued at Rs 1,000. The accused, aged 25 to 56, were identified as Rajesh Oberoi, Amrik Singh, Shubham, Sohail, Gurpreet Singh, Rajeev Kumar Verma, Vimal Kumar, Laksay Sharma, Pradeep Kumar, Omprakash, Mahender, Puneet Kumar, and Samardeep Singh. They were booked under sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Delhi Public Gambling Act in FIR No. 355/2026. Police said further investigation is underway and that they remain committed to firm action against illegal gambling.
