Police in Kulai, Johor, arrested three people, including two Indonesian women, during a raid on premises suspected of running an online gambling business in Kulai Besar. Kulai OCPD Asst Comm Tan Seng Lee said the raid was carried out by the district Criminal Investigation Division at about 6.14pm on Friday (Oct 30) under Ops Dadu, following a video of the raid that went viral on Threads. Preliminary investigations found the three suspects, including a local man, aged between 26 and 29, admitted to working as counter attendants and handling top-ups for the operation. After the initial 24-hour investigation, the local suspect was released on police bail, while the two Indonesian women were remanded for 14 days to assist investigations into immigration offences after failing to produce valid identification documents. The case is being investigated under Section 4B(a) of the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953, while the two women are also being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
