Pool construction underway at Strip casino
Summary
Luxor hotel-casino is currently renovating one of its pools despite the cold winter weather, preparing for the upcoming pool season. MGM Resorts International, the parent company, is replacing the existing south pool with a new pool that will feature increased deck space. While a specific timeline and cost haven't been disclosed, MGM Resorts assures guests will have access to at least one pool at Luxor, or access to pools at Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, and MGM Grand during construction. Clark County records indicate a demolition permit valued at $220,000 was issued in December, and a grading permit application is currently being processed. This project is smaller in scale compared to the recent $20 million GO Pool overhaul at the Flamingo, which took several months to complete.
