Las Vegas casino operator sells out-of-market property

Boyd Gaming Corp. has sold its Sam’s Town casino in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Bally’s Corp., with the deal announced on Thursday. The sale price was not disclosed. Sam’s Town Shreveport features a 29,000-square-foot casino and 514 hotel rooms and is located next to Bally’s Shreveport Casino & Hotel. Bally’s Corp. expressed confidence in the Shreveport market and plans to reinvest in the property. This acquisition expands Bally’s portfolio to 19 casinos across 11 states. Boyd Gaming has been actively refining its portfolio, recently acquiring Resorts Digital and selling its stake in Flutter Entertainment, and is preparing to open a new casino in Henderson, Nevada.
