Hollywood Casino Aurora is set to open its new $360 million casino and resort on June 24, replacing the downtown location. The new property features a 12,000-square-foot event center that will host a variety of live performances. The first act announced is the multi-platinum trio X Ambassadors on July 11, followed by Lit and Sponge on July 17, The Marshall Tucker Band on Aug. 28, and Ben Bankas on Sept. 6. "Hollywood Aurora is thrilled to unveil its initial entertainment lineup featuring world-renowned acts that will headline our stage this summer and beyond," said Greg Moore, vice president and general manager of Hollywood Casino Aurora. The event center is designed to attract visitors from across the region. In addition to concerts, the space will be available for weddings and galas. The casino will also offer a variety of dining options, including the Boulevard Food & Drink Hall with restaurants by chefs Takashi Yagihashi, Bill Kim, Stephanie Izard, and Giada De Laurentiis. The city of Aurora provided a $50 million incentive package to support the project.
