Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Seth Maybee of South Lake Tahoe after a bomb threat was reported at Harrah’s Casino in Stateline on January 5th. Casino security alerted authorities to the threat, which was made via phone by a caller claiming to have lost over $20,000 gambling. The call was traced to Maybee, who was located and arrested at his residence. He was booked into El Dorado County Jail on charges of making a bomb threat and terroristic threats, and is expected to be extradited to Douglas County. Authorities emphasized the seriousness of such threats due to the 1980 bombing at Harvey’s Resort Hotel (now Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe). No explosive device was found, and no injuries were reported.
