Belleville receives $720,976 Q4 payment from OLG for hosting casino

The City of Belleville has received a fourth-quarter payment of $720,976 from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) for hosting Shorelines Casino Belleville. This payment, representing revenue from January 1 to March 31, contributes to a total of $3,092,266 received during OLG’s fiscal year (April 1, 2025 – March 31). Since the casino opened in January 2017, Belleville has received a cumulative $25.4 million. OLG shares revenues with host municipalities to support local investments in community services and infrastructure. Tyler Allsopp, Bay of Quinte MPP, highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting municipalities and critical family services through these payments. Host communities in Ontario have received nearly $2.4 billion in non-tax gaming revenue since 1994, and OLG reinvests 100% of its profits back into the province.
